Donna Merrill, Harvest Market's own herbalist and registered nurse, has over 23 years of nursing experience, predominantly in adult and neonatal critical care. She is a graduate of the two year program in Clinical Herbalism and the one year Graduate Program at the Herbal Therapeutics School of Botanical Medicine run by internationally renowned herbalist David Winston. David is one of the founding members of the American Herbalist Guild. Donna apprenticed with Australian trained nurse and herbalist Claudia Joy Wingo, who is currently Dean of Herbal Medicine at Tai Sophia University in the Washington, D.C. area.

Donna has also trained with another internationally known herbalist, Chanchal Cabrera, at the Wellsprings Center for Natural Healing in Connecticut, and she has taught "Herbal Medicine for Health Care Professionals" in West Chester, PA. She has a private clinical practice, teaches herbal medicine and nutrition in the Wilmington, DE area and is currently Staff Herbalist at Harvest Market in Hockessin, DE. Donna is a member of the American Nurses Association and a professional member of the American Herbalist Guild.
